Super Nintendo

I am the proud winner of two eBay auctions this week. The first is for 2 new (in the original packaging) Super Nintendo controllers. The second is for a couple classic SNES video games: Mario World, Mario Kart, and Mario Allstars (original Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3 from NES). My old SNES console is in perfect condition; sadly, my games and controllers were stollen in a very odd robbery of my Mom’s apartment some years ago (and they were packed away, too — it gets stranger).

Why?

I miss old-school Mario Brothers video games. Those were the only ones I really liked anyway. And I want to play them. And eBay has everything…

Good News

The last couple weeks, my Shaw Internet connection has been rather poor. The modem has been losing synchronisation and latency has been disgusting. I phoned Shaw to complain tonight but I didn’t even get a chance to complain. The technician ran some tests over the phone, and identified a problem with the cable modem. All I have to do is bring it into a Shaw retail store and they will exchange it, for free, for a new one.

(Now let’s just hope this corrects the problem…)
